Now, I feel bad...

Wow... I had forgotten about Susan Gaertner's campaign for Minnesota governor. She bypassed the endorsement process altogether and was going to run in the August primary. That was until today.

Gaertner announced, today, that she would not run in the primary because she did not want to be a "spoiler."

She has not endorsed any of the remaining candidates, but said Minnesota has never come closer to electing a female governor and, apparently, she did not want to get in the way of that important milestone.

Frankly, I had forgotten all about her in this process. Her campaign never caught on in many of the the discussions that were dominated by Kelliher, Rybak or any of the other candidates.

Maybe it was the snub from this blog that was the final straw. I invited Kelliher, Matt Entenza and Mark Dayton to join us on our Saturday show. An invite that has been excepted, at this point only, by the Entenza campaign.

No... I'm not foolish enough to believe that, but I do feel bad for not inviting her. I promise, it was not some sad attempt at a premonition.
