A few minutes ago, I tweeted that, according to a study released by the Department of Homeland Security, only two percent of the illegal immigrants currently living in this country reside in Minnesota.
Yet, according to a WCCO.com report, a Minnesota group wants to enact the same type of legislation that was recently passed and signed into law by the Arizona governor, requiring police officers to check the immigration status of anyone they suspect may be an undocumented immigrant. If they can't prove citizenship, they could be arrested.
There's only one problem... Of the paltry 2 percent that are here illegally, only 10 percent of that number are from Latin and Central America. Fifty percent are from AFRICA!!
