A favor from our fans and followers...

Since I've linked this blog and our show to Twitter, we've been lucky enough to have garnered a small, but engaged group of followers. Through them, I have been able to gauge the interests and concerns of the nationwide Progressive movement. I would like to take this a step further.

Many broadcasters on BlogTalkRadio.com use their forum to interview celebrities and sports stars. I want to use this medium for something better. I want to tell the stories of the underdog. The single mom, who has to work two full-time, minimum wage jobs, just to feed her family. The veteran, who served his country with honor and dignity, but now can't find a job, and has to live on the streets. The college student, who is afraid to be honest about his/her sexual identity, for fear of ridicule or bullying.

In order to do this, I need your help. I need you to be the eyes and ears of your community. I need you to help me bring these people's story to light. If you know of someone who is oppressed, or in some other way, shut out of what we all take for granted as the American dream, shoot me an e-mail. I'd also like to hear from people or organizations who are make a difference in their communities.
