A Sad But True Irony Developing From The Sandusky Case

Go ahead and say it, the fat man is reaching again. But hear me out here. The sickening revelations of multiple acts of child rape, allegedly perpetrated by Jerry Sandusky, has done something almost unheard of in recent times, people of all political persuasions are lined up in lockstep, calling for the swift prosecution of Sandusky, and the dismantling of the once high and mighty Penn State football empire. Hell, for a glimmering moment, I was cheering on Michele Bachmann, when she said she'd personally beat the snot out of this sick fuck (Of course, I'm paraphrasing). But what has happened here, for one not so bright moment, is Republicans and Democrats, Liberals and Conservatives, along with the gloriously non partisan, have put aside all their differences, in order to shout in one unified voice, that anybody who preys on children,as well as those who turn a blind eye to these hideous acts, should be dealt with swiftly and harshly.

It's only a shame that it took something like this to bring us together.
