Early on in his campaign, Herman Cain suggested that America needed to get a sense of humor. Well, Mr. Cain got his wish. He has become the laughingstock of not only the Republican Party, but of American politics in general.
Speculation is that Cain will withdraw from the presidential race as early as Saturday afternoon. At this point, I think that he'd better be more concerned about his marriage than about his dwindling chances of winning the GOP nomination.
Herman Cain is cut from the cloth where it is OK to treat women as second class citizens. He seems to have this bad habit of looking down on women who may be down on their luck. Offering money, and possible employment, in exchange for putting up with is domineering personality. I think we will come to find out that his alleged affair with Ginger White is going to be just the tip of the iceberg. On our show tonight, Mistress Clarissa said it best, when she said that we are beginning to peel away the layers in the onion that is known as Herman Cain.
Personally, I think it's a shame that he will be leaving the race. I think a head to head race between him and President Obama would show a distinct difference in philosophy. I would love to see Cain justify his stance, that poor black people should blame themselves for their condition. Oh well, we can only dream. Even if Cain stays in the race, the Republican machine will find another way to trip him up.
